The Israeli Government has expressed commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Nigeria and look into new areas like capacity building and medical tourism.
Deputy Director-General, Africa Department of the state of Israel, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sharon Bar-li, made the submission when she received some Nigerian journalists on Monday in Jerusalem.
Sharon Bar-li is a former Israeli Ambassador of the state of Israel to Ghana.
Speaking at a meeting with some Nigerian journalists, in Jerusalem, the envoy says her country is open to collaborating with Nigeria for the growth and development of both nations before and after the country’s general elections.

The Isaeli envoy also announced that the innovation hub set up by the Israel government in Nigeria, which is designed to support the advancement of solution driven research, is being replicated in Ghana and Senegal.
She gave an insight into what is expected of young innovators.
Bar-li also believes that the start of a direct flight from Nigeria to Israel in the coming months will serve as a major boost to trade between both nations.
