The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has withdrawn the licences of 11 Computer-Based Test, CBT centres selling the e-PIN for registration for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, above the official cost.
JAMB Registrar, Professor Is-haq Oloyede, who made this known at an interactive session on security for the test with officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC said the Board discovered that some of the centres were selling the e-PIN for as high as N8,000.

The JAMB Registrar said the Board had fixed the cost of e-PIN for registration at N3,500 and the cost of materials for N500 while N700 was for the CBT centres – totalling N4,700.
Meanwhile, the NSCDC at the meeting paraded 2 suspects arrested in Agbor, Delta State, for extorting candidates.
The NSCDC Commandant-General, Abdullahi Muhammadu, urged JAMB to limit the number of tutorial centres in the country to avoid such incidents
Muhammadu collaborated JAMB Registrar on the clampdown on proliferation of tutorial centres, which encourage high level malpractices as most of the centres engaged in fraud and corruption during registration and examinations.
