Abdulmimi Jimoh from Kogi State has emerged as champion in the Masters category of the sixth edition of the Governor Douye Diri National Scrabble Classic held in Yenagoa.
Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri who attended the tournament, described scrabble as a game that sharpens the mind and promotes intellectual development among young people.
The two-day championship attracted over 300 participants competing across different categories for honours and cash prizes.
The President of Nigeria Scrabble Federation, Bright Idahosa commended Governor Diri for supporting the growth of sports, particularly intellectual games, in Bayelsa State.

The tournament ended with the presentation of trophies, medals, and cash prizes to outstanding players, as Abdulmimi Jimoh from Kogi State emerges the overall winner in the Masters category.
