The Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association said it will continue to support the wives and families of soldiers in order to strengthen the bonds that exist within the military family.
This was made known by the chairperson of the association in the 3rd division during the presentation of Christmas gifts packages to wives of soldiers and fallen heroes at the Maxwell Kobe cantonment.
Fibishola Abubakar, commended the spouses of men in the division for their role in keeping the home together while their husbands are away, performing the task of keeping the nation secured.
She also paid tribute to the widows of men who lost their lives in the line of duty, assuring them of continuous support from the association.
Beneficiaries of the gesture were full of praise for the NAOWA chairperson and the general officer commanding 3 division for the show of love.
The more than 300 beneficiaries received gifts of grains, cooking oil, seasoning, and two cows.
