Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC laid siege to Kogi State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja for several hours, in fresh attempt to arrest former Governor, Yahaya Bello on allegations of money laundering

The cat and mouse game between the EFCC and former Governor, Yahaya Bello continued on Wednesday night as armed security operatives were said to have stormed the Kogi Governor’s Lodge along T.Y Danjuma Street in Asokoro to effect his arrest
Officials were said to have laid siege on the lodge but later dispersed.
The media office of Yahaya Bello subsequently issued a statement condemning the action, claiming that Bello voluntarily submitted himself to the EFCC on Wednesday but was asked to leave and return another day.
The statement did not confirm whether the attempted arrest was successful or not; and neither has the EFCC said anything about it.
