Suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Godwin Emefiele on Tuesday pleaded not guilty to a two-count charge of unlawful possession of a gun and live ammunition before Justice Nicholas Oweibo at the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos.
Counsel for the defendant, former president of the Nigeria Bar Association, Joseph Daudu SAN, while arguing the bail application told the court that the defendant has been in custody since his arrest.
In response, prosecution, said they have not been served the bail application prior to the date of arraignment.

The suspended CBN governor who was led to the court by officials of the Department of State Services is facing a two-count charge bordering on unlawful possession of firearms.
