One of the biggest department stores in Abuja, the nation’s capital, the Next Cash and Carry has been gutted by fire.
The incident is said to have started at about 10am on Sunday. As at the time of this report, heavy plumes of black smoke could be seen bellowing into the sky.

Our correspondent on ground reports that fire fighters arrived after over an hour as the crowd continue to gather leading to traffic gridlock along the Bannex overhead bridge-Kado section of Ahmadu Bello way.
The shopping mall reportedly belongs to former Anambra governor and 2019 PDP vice presidential candidate, Peter Obi
