The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN says after an extensive discussion, its National Executive Council has resolved that the over two months old strike be suspended.
In a nine-paragraphed communique issued on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, JUSUN commended the Chief Justice of the Federation and all heads of Courts, for their patience and understanding throughout the period of the industrial action.
JUSUN equally commended the effort of the NJC in making sure that the Governors obeyed the Memorandum of Action, MOA, Judgment and agreement on the Financial Autonomy of the Judiciary.

JUSUN was however quick to condemn the actions of the Governors of Kaduna, Plateau and Benue States, for withholding the salaries of the Judiciary staff in their various States for months and urged all the Governors involved, to do the needful.
The Judiciary Workers communique, also agreed that there shall be introduction of peculiar allowance throughout the States and Federal Courts, while pleading with the NJC, the Presidential Implementation Committee, both the Attorney General and the Accountant General of the Federation and all stakeholders, to see that the issue of Judiciary Financial Autonomy is laid to rest finally as provided for in Section 81 (3), 121 (3), and 162(9), of the -1999 Constitution as amended.
JUSUN further frowned at the deduction of salaries of JUSUN members in Bayelsa State and requested that such deducted sum be refunded forthwith.
It also stated that no JUSUN member should be victimised as a result of their joining the strike.
