The office of the Belgian Prime Minister has confirmed the victims as Swedish citizens who were dressed in the football jersey of the national team who were playing a UEFA Euro qualifier against Belgium.

That game has been suspended after the Swedish team declined to come out after the halftime break. A video posted on social media shows a man chanting in Arabic that he carried out the attack in the name of Allah.
