The Petroleum and Natural gas senior staff association of Nigeria, PENGASSAN has acused the APC-led Federal government for lacking the political will to tackle oil theft.
PENGASSAN President, Festus Osifo at a briefing in Abuja, threatened to declare a Nationwide strike, if nothing concrete is done after the nationwide protest on Thursday September 8, tagged: chasing away oil thieves from Nigeria.
While commending the pipeline surveillance contract awarded by Government to Tompolo, PENGASSAN indicted the military for connivance with thieves to steal oil, demanding the arrest of identified personnel.
PENGASSAN said it is appalling for oil prices to hit one hundred dollars per barrel, yet Nigeria appears broke as it continues mindlessly to engage in Local and foreign borrowing.
