Kaduna Airport Attack: Military confirms killing of 12 terrorists

KADUNA 1

At least 12 of the terrorists that attacked the Kaduna International Airport on Saturday have been confirmed killed.

The terrorists were neutralized after a fierce engagement engagement men of the Nigerian military.

Garrison Commander of One Division, Nigerian Army, Brigadier-General Uriah Tamunobere made the confirmation when he took journalists on an inspection of the scene of the incident.

Brigadier-General Tamunobere said contrary to speculations in the media, the terror attack did not take place within the airport.

Air Force Base Commander, Air Commodore Ademuyiwa Adedoyin, said that since the attack on the Nigerian Defence Academy, security within the area has been beefed up.

The Garrison Commander assured there is adequate security within the airport and environs; stressing that there is no need for panic.
