The Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly Yusuf Zailani has denied the story saying the state lawmakers have begun impeachment moves against Gov. Nasir El-Rufai over corruption allegations.
In a statement released on Sunday, the speaker described the story as the handiwork of opposition and enemies of the progressing relationship between the legislature and the a executive arms of government in the state
He said the authors of the story are out to deny the people of Kaduna State the dividends of democracy they are benefitting courtesy of the good working relationship .

Zailani described the report, which also said the relationship between the governor and himself had been frosty, as the figment of the imagination of the writers and perhaps their sponsors.
