Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has approved the appointment of new commissioners, board chairmen and a deputy chief of staff as part of efforts to accelerate his administration’s development agenda and deepen institutional reforms in the state.
The appointments, according to a statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibraheem Musa, are aimed at improving public service delivery and promoting sustainable economic growth.
Those appointed to key positions by Governor Uba Sani include Ben Kure, who is now Commissioner for Sports Development; Amina Akilu Dalhat, Commissioner for Special Duties One; Abdullahi Garba Abbas, Commissioner for Special Duties Two; and Dr. Halliru Soba, who has been appointed Deputy Chief of Staff, Administration.
The Governor also approved the appointment of new chairmen to several strategic agencies boards.
Alhaji Munir Jafaru is now Chairman of the Kaduna State Health Care Board, while AVM Bashir Gamagira Saidu will head the Kaduna Vigilance Service Board.
Justice Gideon Isa Kurada, retired, has been appointed Chairman of the Governing Board of the College of Education, Gidan Waya.
Esther Bago will chair the Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development, while Dr Yusuf Aliyu Bature becomes Chairman of the Kaduna Hospital Supply Management Agency.
Engr. Namadi Musa is also the new Chairman of the Kaduna Rural Access Roads Authority.
The state government says the appointments are part of measures to accelerate Governor Uba Sani’s transformational agenda, optimise public service delivery and foster sustainable economic growth.
Governor Sani, while congratulating the appointees, said they were selected based on their proven track record of excellence, integrity and dedication.
He charged them to bring fresh perspectives to their respective assignments, reject complacency and align fully with his administration’s vision of building a transformed and resilient Kaduna State.
The Governor also prayed for God’s guidance for the new appointees as they assume their respective responsibilities.
