The abducted schoolchildren from Kuriga were released yesterday and have been received by the Kaduna State Government at the Kashim Ibrahim House.
After more than an hour past the scheduled time, the abducted schoolchildren from Kuriga schools finally arrived at the Kashim Ibrahim House.
Present are 131 children, six of them are still receiving treatment at the 1st Division Services and Hospital, in Dalet Barrack.
The General Officer Commanding, GOC One Division Nigerian Army, Major General Mayireso Surasu, while presenting the children to the governor, explained that the children were rescued through a coordinated operation.

The Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, who was elated to see the children, warned against politicising security.
He insists that all 137 children abducted were rescued, as opposed to the initial report of 287.
With the release of the children, efforts are to be made to ensure the safety of schools in Nigeria
