Gunmen suspected to be terrorists have killed a Catholic priest Reverend Father Vitus Borogo on Saturday after a raid on the his farm at Kujama, in Chikun Local Government area of the Kaduna state along Kaduna-Kachia road.
Chancellor of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria Reverend Father Christian Emmanuel, confirmed this in a statement.
According to the statement, Father Vitus who is aged 50 was the Chaplain of the Catholic Community of the Kaduna State Polytechnic, and the Chairman of the Nigerian Catholic Diocesan Priests Association (NCDPA), Kaduna Chapter.
Father Emmanuel said that details of his funeral arrangement will be announced in due course.

The secretariat called on all men and women of goodwill to continue to pray for the peaceful repose of his soul and the consolation of his bereaved family, especially his mother.
The Catholic Archbishop of Kaduna, Most Reverend Matthew Ndagoso has condoled with the immediate family of the deceased , the NFCS Family of Kaduna Polytechnic, and indeed the entire Kaduna Polytechnic Community.
