The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, tax education and efficient revenue administration.
The KADIRS Acting Executive Chairman, Dr Mohammed Lawal stated this at the service’s third-quarter 2026 stakeholders’ engagement programme in Kaduna.
KADIRS brought together stakeholders from the public and private sectors to examine the implications of Nigeria’s new tax laws and their impact on revenue generation, tax compliance and service delivery.
Dr Lawal said the engagement focused on strengthening internal revenue, improving taxpayer experience and promoting transparency in the state’s revenue administration.
Delivering the keynote address, the Commissioner for Finance, Ibrahim Tanko, and other speakers highlighted key provisions of the law and called for innovative approaches to strengthen revenue administration and improve the state’s fiscal capacity.
KADIRS said sustainable engagement, public enlightenment and transparent revenue administration remain central to building an efficient and inclusive tax system capable of driving the state’s development.
