Kaduna State High Court has adjourned ruling on the bail application of former Governor, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai to June, ordering that he remains in ICPC custody of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, pending the decision.
The anti-graft agency had earlier amended its charges, leaving the former governor as the sole defendant in the case.
After hearing arguments on the bail application over a nine-count charge bordering on alleged fraud, abuse of office and corruption, the presiding judge, Justice Darius Khobo, fixed the first week of June for ruling.

Counsel to the former Governor, Ukpong Abang, expressed disagreement with the court’s position, particularly over concerns that his client could interfere with ongoing investigations.
The matter has now been adjourned to the first week of June for ruling on the bail application and continuation of proceedings.
