Kano State House of Assembly in North-West Nigeria on Wednesday approved that the State Government secures N10 billion loan facility to develop optic cyber and install CCTV cameras in strategic locations in the metropolis and headquarters of Emirates Councils, towards boosting security in the state.
The request for the loan was contained in a letter transmitted to the Assembly by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and read on the floor by the Speaker, Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari.
After debate, the Assembly adopted and approved the request for the State Government to secure the loan facility, for the purpose stated in the letter.
The Assembly also screened and confirmed the appointment of Ismail Musa, as the Auditor-General for the State, after a report presented by the Chairman, Committee on Public Accounts and member representing Doguwa State Constituency, Salisu Ibrahim Muhammad.
The Assembly has adjourned sitting to next week Monday.
