Kano State Government has reinstated a total of nine thousand, three hundred and thirty two civil servants into the civil service following a successful screening of the over twelve thousand people employed during the Abdullahi Ganduje administration.
Secretary to the state government Abdullahi Bichi, while making the report public, said the employment was characterized by various forms of irregularities and breach of civil service rules.
Over twelve thousand people were employed during the administration of Abullahi Ganduje which the Abba Yusuf led administration believed was done to put financial pressure on it.
The report of the screening committee is ready and the Secretary to the Government of Kano state, Abdullahi Bichi has revealed their findings.

The committee says it identified a thirteen year old girl who was employed and salaries were being paid into her mother’s account.
Out of the total number employed, over nine thousand were reinstated into the civil service with some clauses attached
According to the committee, the reinstatement of the screened personnel will increase the salary wage bill of the state by over five hundred million naira monthly.
