Orphans and people with special needs in government’s accredited homes and shelters in Kano state will get full Scholarships from primary to higher institutions courtesy of the Kano State Government.

It was a special night organized by the Governor Abbah Yusuf to break the day’s Ramadan fast with orphans, people living with disabilities and those with special needs, a segment of the state’s population he holds dearly.
Governor Abba Yusuf, who was moved with excitement seeing the kids in high spirits despite the challenges they face, said his administration will offer full scholarships to those in need of education to enable them further their studies.
To ensure that their welfare is adequately protected beyond his tenure in office, the governor announced the establishment of an agency for people with disability and special needs
Amina Abubakar, a sign language interpreter, highlights some of the governor’s interventions for people with special needs as they ask for more.
It was indeed a night to remember as the special group dined with the governor, his deputy and other top government functionaries with the cheering policy statements from the governor that will better their lots as takeaway from the event.
