Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has expressed disappointment over the state of decay of educational infrastructure inherited from the immediate past administration, describing it as embarrassing and unfortunate.
The Governor who ordered the immediate rehabilitation of broken down infrastructure at the Junior Secondary School Kwankwoso city in Dawankinkudu in Kano metropolis when he paid an unscheduled visit said, teaching and learning can only be effective in a conducive atmosphere.
It was a moment of joy for the students as the Governor visited their school unannounced. As Commissioner for Works some years ago under administration of former Governor Musa Kwankwaso, he supervised the construction of the school, but a few years down the line, he is back as Governor and not happy seeing the school with falling roofs and decayed infrastructure.
Not pleased with the neglect by the immediate past administration, Governor Yusuf gives an immediate order for the total rehabilitation of all dilapidated infrastructure. He then charges the students to reward his investment in their academics by being dedicated to their studies.
