Yoruba residents in Kano under the aegis of Concerned Yoruba Community have called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu not to allow Kano to burn for political interest, but provide political solutions to the current issues relating the 2023 governorship election currently in court.
Leader of the group, Taofeek Olalekan while addressing newsmen in Kano on the political crisis said they are very worried that the unfolding political situation will have adverse effects on Yorubas in Kano
The concerned Yoruba group believes that there are influential interests working remotely to get the will of the people in the last election thwarted.
The group is calling on revered Yoruba kings in Nigeria to prevail on president Bola Tinubu to resist any pressure aimed at influencing the case in court or better still provide political solutions to the impasse.
The group fears that their security is not guaranteed as people now believe that a president of Yoruba origin is allegedly seen to be working against the will of the people in the last election.
