Kano State government has introduced home-based care for the treatment of covid 19 patients across the state.
The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Aminu Tsanyawa, who commissioned the scheme, said the move is part of the government’s commitment to the fight against the spread of the virus in Kano.
The programme which is the first of its kind, since Covid 19 hit the country, was introduced for the treatment of Covid 19 cases in Kano, following the rising cases recorded in recent times.

The Commissioner for Health, Dr.Aminu Tsanyawa says, the state government has adopted various strategies and proactive measures to curtail the spread of the disease.
The Coordinator, Covid-19 Rapid Response Team, Dr. Tijjani Hussein, said the idea is to address the impact of the pandemic on health facilities.
Kano State recorded 44 new cases from 581 tests, submitted to the laboratories on the 19th of February.
