Police in Katsina say they have succeeded in arresting a 25-year-old Ukashatu Idris from Zamfara State believed to be a notorious drug dealer with 27 sacks of Cannabis Sativa.
Spokesman of the police, Superintendent Gambo Isah said nemesis caught up with the suspect when he was ambushed and arrested by detectives attached to Makera Police divisional headquarters, Funtua Local Government Area, in possession of twenty-seven (27) sacks filled with dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.
He said, in the course of the investigation, the suspect confessed to being en route to Zamfara state from Auchi, Edo state, with the said exhibits and mentioned one Kabiru Master in Gusau town of Zamfara state who is now at large as his accomplice.
Similarly, the Command said it succeeded in raiding a criminal hideout, at Danmarke village, Jibiya Local Government Area at the house of a 28-year-old Aminu Abukasim, believed to be a notorious drug peddler who specializes in supplying illicit drugs to terrorists in the forest.

Nemesis caught up with the suspect according to the police, when he was arrested with 31 packets of EXOL-5 tablets and 30 packets of TRAMADOL tablets.
Isah added that, in the course of the investigation, the suspect confessed to committing the offense and mentioned 3 other suspects to be his accomplices including his biological father who are now at large.
The police maker further added that, based on credible intelligence, the Command carried out sting operations in criminal hideouts and succeeded in tracing and recovering of four suspected stolen motor vehicles.
