A 28 year old suspected kidnapper Jamilu Sa’idu, has been arrested by police in Katsina who specialises in calling unsuspecting members of the public through their mobile phone numbers, threatening them to pay ransom or risked been kidnapped.
Spokesman of the police Superintendent Gambo Isah while parading the suspect alongside other 3 armed robbery syndicates said, Sa’idu was traced and arrested after his bank details issued to a victim for a ransom of 200,000 thousand naira was tracked.
The police spokesman said, the feat is as a result of the command’s quest to rid the state off terrorism and other sundry crimes.
The 28 year old suspected kidnapper Jamilu Sa’idu confessed to have gone into such act to make ends meet.
He added that, while committing the crime the consequences was not clear but now, he has seen the magnitude of his crime having been paraded before the press.

Sa’idu further added that he regrets his actions and promised not to go back to crime if let off the hook.
He advised young men to always seek legitimate means of acquiring wealth.
Three other suspects, Halliru Idris Suleiman Yusuf and Jibrin Abdullahi aged between 37, 55 and 25 respectively were paraded for being armed robbery syndicates terrorizing Dutsi Local Government Area and its environs.
