The Police in Katsina State say it has gunned down 3 suspected bandits and arrested 3 others.
It has also recovered one AK 49 and 2 AK47 rifles with 96 rounds of live 7.62 millimeters ammunition.
The feat, according to the spokesman of the Police Command, Superintendent of Police, Gambo Isah, is in furtherance of the command’s zero tolerance for banditry and other sundry crimes in the state.

While parading the corpses of the bandits and the other three arrested, the spokesman noted that 160 cows, 174 sheep, and two motorcycles were also recovered during the different operations.
The police image maker hinted that during another operation, one Ibrahim Ma’aruf, a suspected arms dealer, kidnapper, and cattle rustler were apprehended.

He said that nemesis caught up with the suspect when he was accosted at a spot, between Dustin-ma and Safana Local Government Areas, with 40 rustled cows.
Isah said that the suspect was also rounded up with a total of 96 rounds of 7.62 millimeters ammunition of AK 47 rifle, and a sum of Seven hundred and eighty thousand Naira at a police checkpoint, along Dutsinma to Safana road, where he fled and escaped police arrest.
He added that investigations are on with a view to arresting the other fleeing members of the different gangs.
