The Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme retired Colonel, Milland Dikio has called on the National Assembly to build sustainable legislative instruments aimed at repositioning the Niger Delta region as a business destination.
Dikio stated this at the 6th graduation ceremony of ex-agitators in 2019/2020 Amnesty Programme from Bradama International Skill Works in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
He reiterated Federal Government commitment to create enabling environment for youths in the Niger Delta region to acquire skills to better their lives.
Ondo State in South-West Nigeria, is one of the Niger Delta States currently benefiting from the Federal Government Amnesty Programme for ex-agitators.
At least 200 ex-agitators have completed their training at Bradama International Skill Works in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of the state.
They were trained in welding and Fabrication, scaffolding and rigging, mechanical fitting and abrasives blasting.
The Chief Executive Officer of Bradama, High Chief Bibopere Ajube and other dignitaries at the event, including traditional rulers said the era of militancy in the region is over as the youths are now engaged in meaningful ventures.
Some of the trained youths said they are eager to put into good use the various skills they have acquired.

The highpoint of the event was the presentation of awards to trainees who distinguished themselves in the course of the programme.
