Ahead of Saturday’s governorship and state assembly elections, the Katsina State Police Command says it will close all land borders, exit and entry points into the state, from midnight Friday to 6pm on Saturday.
Police spokesman, Superintendent Gambo Isah, in a statement, said the decision was reached after consultation with the relevant stakeholders and bodies overseeing the elections.
Isah in the statement said, “Politicians and Very Important Personalities, V.I.P.s, are barred from going to any voting centre with their security details and orderlies.”
