The Secretary to the Katsina State Government, SSG, Mustapha Inuwa, has confirmed the release of his abducted 78-year-old brother, Kabir Muhammed, after spending 5 days with his abductors.
Inuwa who made the confirmation to ait.live via telephone through his Chief Press Secretary, Abdullahi Yar’adua said, he was released on September 6 with no ransom paid.
According to Yar’adua, it was a technical rescue operation, conducted by the security agencies, especially the police, by arresting the parents of the suspected bandits.
He added that the bandits who carried out the abduction were those residing within the Danmusa forest area.
It was gathered that the residents within the area knew the suspected bandits, thereby, facilitating the easy lead for security agencies to trace their homes and arrested their parents.
