Kebbi CP orders investigation into alleged killing of police officer by colleague

The Kebbi State Police Commissioner, CP Ahmed Kontagora, has ordered a thorough investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the killing of Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP, Shuaibu Malumfashi.

The ASP had an altercation with another ASP Abdullahi Garba inside the Fishing Village Area in Argungu Local Government where they engaged in physical combat.

While fighting, ASP Abdullahi Garba used a scissor to stab ASP Shuaibu in the ribs area.

Police arrested the erring officer, recovered the exhibit and rushed Shuaibu to the hospital, where a Medical Doctor confirmed him dead.

The erring police officer, ASP Abdullahi Garba is being detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Birninkebbi.

The Kebbi State Police Commissioner, CP Ahmed Kontagora has condemned the actions exhibited by the officer which he said goes contrary to the Police Act and Regulations, as well as other extant laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Kontagora warned officers and men of the command to always live in peace with one another, and report their grievances to the appropriate sections within the force for redress, instead of referring to self-help.

The Kebbi Command, assures members of the public that, justice will be done in the investigation of the case, and the outcome made public.
