The Kebbi State Government has disbursed over N241m as gratuity to 91 retired workers, from November to December 2023.
The information is contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi.
According to the statement, the 91 retirees were verified from the 96 beneficiaries submitted by the Kwaido-led Committee, which included payment for state and local governments and the payment of Local Government workers gratuity and death benefits.
It says the gesture is in fulfilment of the campaign promises of Governor Nasir to civil servants, promising the state government will not owe any retired worker “a single kobo” in entitlements.
