Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State has approved the release of one hundred and twelve thousand, five hundred bags of fertilizer for sale to farmers.
The Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Maigari Dakingari, disclosed this while addressing journalists in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.
Maigari Dakingari also explained that the commodity is to get across farmers in the two hundred and twenty-five wards in the twenty-one local government areas of the state.
He expressed confidence that the provision of the fertilizer at the right time, will boost their efforts to encourage wet season farming, among the farmers.

Maigari Dakingari, further explained that each ward would be allocated five hundred bags, at the cost of six thousand Naira per bag and warned the intending beneficiaries against selling the products.
He told the farmers that already the governor has approved the composition of a committee that would ensure hitch-free sales of the product in all parts of the state.
