Governor Bagudu has directed for the improvement of welfare and training of teachers while unqualified teachers would be assisted by government to attain requisite qualification.
The Governor lauded teachers particularly primary school teachers describing them as cradle of education.
He made the statement while on a visit to one of the Model Primary Schools in Birnin Kebbi to monitor the ongoing workshop for primary school teachers under the “Teaching at the Right Level, TaRL”
Bagudu was delighted with the dedication of the teachers and their efforts to impart sound knowledge to pupils saying that government has accorded importance to education.
Also he expressed happiness that Kebbi state has taken the first position to return out of school children back to the classroom under the Better Education Service Delivery for All, BESDA.
According to him more than fifteen thousand facilitators have been engaged by the government to teach in Qur’anic and Almajiri Schools in furtherance of integrating such schools into the formal education system.

“five thousand, five hundred and forty three heads of almajiri schools would receive monthly stipend of five thousand naira each.”
The country manager of TaRL, Miss Inyang Umoren appreciated the governor for promoting the development of education in Kebbi state, which made it possible to conduct the workshop through SUBEB.
The participants at the workshop told the Governor that the training has impacted effectively their methodology of teaching.
In her remark, Amina Muhammad on the Importance of Sex Education and Gender Based violence, advised rape victims to have the audacity to speak up and discard the notion of stigma.
She urged victims not to keep silent, that keeping silent has been responsible for the rise in the cases of rape.
