Kebbi State Government in North-West Nigeria has promised to increase immunisation coverage to over 80% before the end of the administration of Governor Atiku Bagudu on May 29, 2023.
The Governor who was represented by Secretary of State Government, Babale Umar, spoke when he received a delegation of non-governmental organisations on an advocacy visit to the Government House Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.
Bagudu, added that Kebbi State has succeeded in bringing primary health care under one umbrella while immunisation coverage has reached optimum level of more than 80%.

Team leader of delegation, Professor Ali Mohammed Pate, informed the Governor the consultative visit to all the 19 states is to engage stakeholders to chart the best course of action on attaining health security.
Professor Ali Pate, specifically identified traditional rules for their ability to mobilise their subjects to accept health care programmes.
The delegation also paid similar advocacy visit to the Emirs of Gwandu and Argungu.
