The Independent National electoral commission, INEC in Kebbi state has commenced the distribution of election materials across the 147 polling units for Saturday’s supplementary polls.
The Head of INEC monitoring team in Kebbi state and the commissioner for Information and voters Education, Featus Okoye, told the media in Birnin Kebbi that the commission is ready to conduct a free, fair and transparent exercise in the state.
The commission is expected to conduct elections in 142 polling units for the governorship, 23 for Kebbi North senatorial district, 2 federal constituencies of Arewa Dandi, Koko Besse and Maiyama local governments while the 8 states house of assembly seats will also be conducted in the April 15th exercise.

Over-voting, violence and other electoral offenses had marred the March 18th exercise in 147 Polling units paving way for an inconclusive polls.
