The Divisional Police Officer of the FUGAR division of the Edo State Police Command (CSP), Ibrahim Ishaq who was kidnapped by gunmen on Friday, 26th of November has regained his freedom after six days in the captivity of his abductors.
A statement by the Police spokesman Kontongs Bello revealed this on Thursday night via a police/ journalists WhatsApp platform.
CSP Ibrahim Ishaq was abducted by Ise river along the old Auchi Ekperi Agenebode road on his way to Agenebode in the company of his orderly in his private vehicle.

The abductors later called the family to demand a ransom of fifty million Naira.
It is however not clear if the ransom was eventually paid for his release but however, the statement by the police spokesman says he was rescued by police operatives.
