A three-year-old child of Salihu Tanko Islamic School, Tegina has died in captivity.
The child’s body was abandoned few kilometres away from Tegina town.
Sources attribute the death to the feverish and traumatising conditions caused by gunshots.

Tanko Zegi expressed dismay over government’s attitude to issues affecting its people, especially since the gunmen abducted the children.
He further said that, no state official has visited them to show concern since their children were abducted last week Sunday.
They commended the Local Government Council Chairman, Ismaila Modibbo, who has been ensuring that the children are rescued unhurt.
The mothers of two of the abducted children have so far died as a result of the shock of the incident.
