The Berom Youths Moulder-Association, BYM, has called on the Federal Government to declare Fulani Militias as a Terrorists Group Following the invasion and Killing of Two Teachers at the BECO Comprehensive School Kwi, in Riyom Council area of Plateau by suspected fulani armed men.

The Victims, Mr and Mrs Rwang Danladi, both teachers in the school, who recently got married were reportedly shot dead while Dalyop Emmanuel, the Vice Principal was injured during the attack launched at about 3:00pm on Monday when Staff of the school were holding a meeting.

In a statement signed by the National Publicity secretary of BYM Rwang Tengwo, on Tuesday noted with concern how suspected Armed Herders move freely with arms and graze on farmlands, carrying coordinated attacks on villages and Communities in Barkin Ladi, Riyom, Bokkos, Mangu, Jos South and even beyond the state.

The group therefore called on the Federal Government to Ban open grazing in Plateau state since criminals hide under the practice to unleash havoc on people and property in the State.

They also want security operatives to, as a matter of urgency, raid some settlement formed by way of forceful occupation of lands belonging to locals after uprooting them from their ancestral lands in order to get rid of both the Armed Herders and other criminal elements that have firmly defied law and order.

The Mwaghavul Development Association had in July made a similar call for the Declaration of suspected Armed Fulani Militias as a Terrorists Organization after burying over 300 People who were attacked and killed in Mangu Council area of the State and neighboring communities by suspected Headers.
