Political stakeholders in Kogi East have ratified the suspension of The senator representing the Kogi East Senatorial District, Senator Jibrin Isah (also known as Echocho).
His suspension from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Odu Ward 2, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, followed alleged anti-party activities.
According to the stakeholders, the emergence of Joseph Erico as the APC senatorial candidate for the 2027 elections was free, fair and credible,
The stakeholders made their position known during a meeting held in Ejule, Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The senatorial primaries in kogi State came with it toxicity, leaving some big names bruised. USitting Senator, Jibrin Isah, is one of those the APC has not given the ticket to return in 2027. After losing the primary, party stakeholders have not been impressed by his conduct
The stakeholders maintained that the emergence of Joseph Erico as the APC senatorial candidate during the party’s primary election reflects the wishes of the people of Kogi East Senatorial District.
While urging aggrieved aspirants to sheathe their swords in the interest of peace, unity, and the overall success of the party ahead of the 2027 general election, the stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring that the APC wins all elective positions in Kogi State.
