The governor-elect of Kogi state Usman Ododo has called on all political players in the state to put aside their differences during the election campaign and come together as a united front in developing the confluence state.
Ododo expressed gratitude to the people of kogi state for voting him to serve the state in the next four year
The joy of victory echoed in and around the camp of the All Progressives Congress as professor Johnson Urama declared the APC candidate Usman Ododo the winner of Saturday’s Governorship election in kogi state.
In his victory speech shortly after being declared winner of the election Ododo who was in company of governor Yahaya Bello promised to put into action promises made during the election campaign.
He however urged politicians to joins hands with the ruling party in developing the confluence.
Ododo polled a 446,237 Votes to defeat closest rival Murtala Ajaka of the Social Democratic Party SDP who scored 295,052 votes while the people’s Democratic Party PDP candidate Dino melaye polled 46,362 votes.
The Kogi State governor elect will begin his stewardship as the fifth governor of Kogi state on January 28 after the swearing in ceremony
