Supporters of the Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Kogi state want residents to turn out in their numbers for the collection of the Permanent Voter Cards as the Independent National Electoral Commission opens the window for collection from 28th June, 2023.
Speaking during a road walk across major streets in Lokoja the state capital, the group also wants Kogites to conduct themselves responsibly as campaign activities start saying their Candidate Usman Ododo remains the candidate to beat.
The supporters of the APC candidate in the November election in Kogi state, Usman Ododo from the twenty-one local government areas of Kogi state defied the heavy downpour as they took to major streets of Lokoja for the PVC sensitization walk.
Their message is simple, a peaceful election and that residents should go out and collect their PVCs which will start on 28th of June.
Some of the supporters say the large turnout despite the rain indicates the level of acceptability their candidate, Usman Ododo enjoys in the state.
The walk which starts at the Zone 8 junction of Lokoja, passed through Lokongoma-Phase two and terminates at the government house.
The group expressed readiness to take the PVC campaign to the grassroots across the state.
