The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC says it is expecting about three-hour delay in the upload of election results from polling units after voting in Saturday’s Governorship election in Kogi State, North-Central Nigeria.
State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Gabriel Longpet made this known while addressing newsmen in Lokoja on last minute activities for the election.
Longpet however declared that the outcome of the Governorship polls is entirely in the hands of the people of Kogi State as the Commission does not have a party or candidate in the election

On security concerns, the Resident Electoral Commissioner assured that relevant agencies have made deployment to provide the needed security for voters, election officials and materials during and after the exercise
