Kogi State

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has received 2 officials of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC deployed to support the state’s rapid response team for COVID-19.

In a dramatic twist to the reception for the visiting NCDC staff, the governor gave them the option to either remain in the state isolation centre for 2 weeks before they are allowed to work with the state covid-19 squadron team or return to Abuja

Governor Bello insists that Abuja is a coronavirus high risk area so in keeping with the protocol issued by the NCDC, the officials must be quarantined for 14 days.

Meanwhile, the Kogi state government has increased the hazard allowance for front line health workers from 30,000 Naira to 50, 000 Naira per day.
