Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige says he is not bothered by allegations of a fake National Youth Service Corps certificate levelled against the managing director of the Nigerian Social insurance TrustFund, NSITF, Michael Akabogu, saying the relevant agencies are on top of the matter.
The Minister, while briefing Labour correspondent on recent developments, acknowledged the existence of rumblings within the agency, following media reports that the NSITF MD parades a forged NYSC certificate.

On corruption allegations against the NSITF, Ngige accused the former management of mismanaging the procurement processes, which led to a huge diversion of funds.
He said the Act establishing the NSITF is still awaiting amendment aimed at improving the performance of the fund and to increasing the Governing Board’s membership strength to accommodate more strategic stakeholders.
