The National leadership of the Labour Party says the purported sack of the presidential campaign director general, Doyin Okupe is false
Briefing journalists in Abuja on Friday, the national secretary of the party, Umar Farouk said the Ogun state chapter of the labour party acted outside the jurisdiction.

At a news briefing in Abeokuta On Thursday, The state Chairman of the party, Michael Ashade, announced the sack of Doyin Okupe and 10 others from the party for alleged non-financial membership status, high-handedness and financial recklessness.
He advised the state chapter not to be used by politicians who feel threatened by the presidential candidate of the labour party.
The party also called on the security agencies to be more proactive in the protection of lives and property.
