One person feared dead while two others were rescued when a two-storey building still under construction located at Ishaga road, opposite the central mosque, Idi Araba, Mushin, Lagos collapsed Sunday evening.
According to the south West Coordinator, National Emergency Management Authority, Ibrahim Farinloye who issued a statement explained that emergency responders who rushed to the scene of the incident rescued two victims who were submerged under the rubble and were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Though the cause of the building collapse was still sketchy at the time of filing this report, the remains of the dead victim have been transferred to the Morgue.

This and many more incident raises concerns over the inncessant building collapse in the state as stakeholders in the building sector are quick to call for more stringent measures to prevent reoccurance .
