Five persons comprising of four male adults and a female were said to have died when gas cylinders exploded at about 10am Tuesday at 21, Ojekunle street, Ladipo, Mushin.
The recovered bodies kept in body bags were said to have been taken by their family members to the morgue.
Early emergency responders at the scene of the incident include officials from Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, Lagos State fire and Rescue services who worked hard to put off the fire from spreading any further to adjourning buildings.

The DG, LASEMA, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintola appealed to residents in the area to remain calm and be cautious of their surroundings even as the emergency responders battled to subdue the fire.
