A Federal High Court in Lagos has remanded five suspected drug barons charged by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, to the Ikoyi custodial facility pending the January 17 ruling on the application filed by their counsel for their bail.
The trial judge, Justice Peter Lifu remanded them to the Custodial facility after they were arraigned in court Wednesday.

The suspects, Soji Jubril Oke, Wasiu Akinade, Emmanuel Arinze Chukwu, Oguntolure Sunday and a Jamaican, Kelvin Christopher pleaded not guilty to a six-count charge of conspiracy, unlawful importation of two thousand one hundred and thirty-nine point five kilograms of Cocaine, engaging in the organisation, management and financing of drug trafficking Organisation (DTO) and unlawful possession of some drugs.
The prosecutor, Umar Hussain explained that the suspects were arrested with the drugs between July and September 2022 at Number 6, Olukonla Crescent, Solebo Estate, Ikorodu, Lagos.
