Adolescent Girls in Nigeria face widespread menstrual challenges rooted in period poverty, cultural norms that instigate discrimination, stigmatization, and inadequate school infrastructure.

This and many more were focused on by a women’s rights and health group who, through an advocacy drive, intends to sensitize not less than three thousand adolescents across 4 local government areas in Lagos state

The Comic Based learning initiative by the women’s right and health Project WRAP and partners is a twelve months project expected to reach over three thousand adolescents across four local government areas in Lagos State.

It will, among other things, improve menstrual health knowledge, reduce stigma, and promote gender sensitivity

The education session will also train 48 teachers as menstrual health management ambassadors to support students after the project ends
