The Lagos State government has ordered the closure of Chrisland Private School, Opebi Lagos over a viral sex video of a 10-year-old student of the school who was allegedly gang-raped by other students while on a school competition in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The Commissioner for Education, Folashade Adefisayo announced the decision of the Lagos State government to shut down the school until further notice.
Meanwhile, the Lagos Command of the Nigeria Police Force has also reacted to the viral video as its spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin through a statement said the Commissioner of Police Abiodun Alabi has ordered full investigations into the matter with a view to establishing the identities of the persons captured in the video as well as the alleged threat to life against the victim.

The Police investigation is to also unravel the circumstances surrounding alleged repeated pregnancy tests conducted on her without parental consent.
Mother of the unnamed girl who called for justice over the handling of the case by the school authorities after they expelled her daughter wondered why it took the School roughly a month after the incident had occurred to reach out to her and why the school conducted a pregnancy test on her daughter instead of the Covid-19 test they had requested.
